How can I protect my Alice account?

Remember to Sign Out when you are done.

Keep access to your email safe and secure. Your email is how you log in to Alice, so keep that fully protected. Put in place a strong password and Multi-Factor Authentication.

How can I protect my data?

Recordings & Transcripts are stored in Alice, but only as long as you want them there. Enable Automatic Deletion, which schedules items for deletion on a schedule. This way, you guarantee your privacy.

Recordings & Transcriptions are emailed to you if you have that configured. If you want to delete copies of that data, please be sure to delete the copies in your email.

Is my data encrypted? At rest or in transit?

Your data is encrypted both at rest and in transit.

We encrypt your data at rest, so that if someone stole a physical server from us, they would not be able to read your data.

We encrypt your data in transit, so that if someone were listening to all of your network traffic, they would not be able to read your data.

Is Alice SOC2-compliant? What about PCI? HIPAA? GDPR?

Our team has had decades of experience in technical leadership at publicly traded companies. We've achieved various compliance certifications as several companies while helping them go public. We are working on achieving SOC2 Type II, HIPAA and GDPR, becoming certified for all three of these by the end of 2025.

What happens when I delete data in my account?

With privacy and data security as some of our most important principles, we delete data permanently at your request. It isn't stored in a deep archive for ambiguous purposes - it really is deleted.
